What is collected and why

GNEM AI alpha: data notice

GNEM AI is an early test version run by the Georgia Network for Electric Mobility at the University of Georgia.

What we collect: your questions and chats, the answers and sources shown to you, your thumbs-up/down and comments, how many questions you ask, and sign-in details (time, IP address, browser) used for security.
Why: to find errors, measure answer quality and develop future versions of GNEM AI.
Who sees it: the GNEM research team. To answer, your questions are processed by UGA's AI service and may be sent as search terms to a web-search provider (Tavily). Nothing is sold.
How long: kept for the alpha. After your login is removed, your chats and usage are deleted 30 days after your last activity; the record that you accepted this notice is kept.
Please don't enter: personal or confidential information. Answers may be incomplete or wrong.
Removal: to ask for your data to be removed, contact the administrator who sent you your login.
